Mbappe signs Real Madrid contract to join Spanish giants as free agent
The former Paris Saint-German forward Kylian Mbappe has signed a contract deal to join Spanish giants Real Madrid as a free agent ahead of next season.
It would be recalled that the France striker had in February informed PSG of his decision to leave the League 1 side when his contract expires this summer.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and almost joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2022 before he made a late U-turn and penned a new deal with the Ligue 1 side.
The forward had taken to social media to announce his exit from the Ligue 1 side but had kept his next destination a secret.
However, according to Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, the World Cup winner will finally represent the Spanish giants.
Romano, in a social media post on Sunday, said everything has been agreed, adding that Mbappe had penned a contract with the club.
According to him, “Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid, HERE WE GO! Every document has been signed, sealed and completed.
“Real Madrid, set to announce Mbappé as new signing next week after winning the Champions League.
“Mbappé made his decision in February; he can now be considered a new Real player,” he wrote.
Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco in August 2017 in a stunning 180-million-euro deal and departs after winning six Ligue 1 titles, four French Cups and two League Cups, and helping his team reach the Champions League final in 2020.
He also became the highest-ever goal scorer at the club, netting 255 goals in 305 appearances.
