Man guns down his 12-yr-old brother while testing ‘bulletproof’ charm in Kwara

A 12-year old Yusuf Abubakar, has been gunned down by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar.

Abubakar shot his 12-year old brother dead while trying to test the efficiency of a newly prepared bullet proof charm.

The tragic incident happened, Sunday in Dutse Gogo Town, via Kaiama, in Kaiama local government area of Kwara state.

It was gathered that the two brothers, who were suspected to be sons of hunter, were reportedly happy over the newly prepared bullet proof charm that they felt would prevent gun shots from entering the body of and killing anyone.

Abubakar who believed he had empowered his brother with the newly prepared bullet proof charm, instructed his younger brother, to stand aloof to test the efficacy of the charm.

A source that witnessed the scenario told newsmen that Abubakar’s bullet penetrated Yusuf’s body, and he died instantly.

Abubakar immediately ran away to escape possible retaliation from members of the community and he has not shown up at the time of producing this report.

The spokesperson of the police in Kwara State, Ajayi Okasanmi when contacted confirmed the tragic occurrence.

“Investigation into the matter has commenced as directed by the Commissioner of Police Kwara State, CP Paul Odama.”He said.

Okasanmi has sent message of advice to parents and guardians across the state to watch over their wards and their activities in order to prevent such tragedy again.
