Man appears in Lagos court for allegedly stealing bread mixer
A 47-year-old man, Darlington John, appeared in court for allegedly stealing a bread mixer machine worth N4 million.
He appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday.
Darlington has been charged by the police with theft and attempt to commit felony and theft.
When the matter was read to defendant, ne pleaded not guilty to charge.
S.A. Adegbesin, who’s the Prosecution Counsel, earlier informed the court that the defendant carried out the offence sometimes in 2018 at No. 90, Shasha Road, Egbeda.
He also alleged that the defendant illegally took away a bread mixer worth N4million, which belongs to Global Concepts Limited
He said the offence, was in contravention of the provisions of sections 309 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Miss A.O. Akinde, who’s the Chief Magistrate, granted the defendant the sum of N1 million bail plus two sureties each in like sum.
She has howeveradjourned the matter until November 22 for mention.
