Man allegedly kills friend for money rituals in Kwara

An Ilorin Magistrate court has fixed 8th of next week to hear the case of one Kazeem Muhammed and three others who allegedly conspired to kill one Olokose Oluwasola Ojo for money rituals in Patigi area of Kwara State.

The defendant, (Muhammed), who was the deceased neighbour, allegedly lured him into the bush under the pretext to bring out the cow he has helped him to buy for his forthcoming wedding in Patigi.

Muhammed reportedly carried out the dastard act with his friend, Madu Jeremiah, who provided the gun for the operation while his brother, Danlami, shot Ojo dead.

They reportedly severed his head and arm after they’ve killed him and took them to one Muhammed Chatta who eventually turns parts into money rituals.

Muhammed, however, gave the mobile deceased line to his friend, Jimoh Abdulateef, who kept making calls with it to the deceased’s family, demanding for twelve million naira ransom.

The government prosecutor, Moshood Adebayo, urged the court, presided owe by Magistrate Adeniyi, to order the remand of the defendants in the Correctional Service.

Adebayo, in his prayer, said the offences allegedly committed by the defendants are not ordinarily bailable and it is capital in nature.

Magistrate Adeniyi, however, ordered the remand of the defendants in the correctional facility while the matter was adjourned to 8th July, 2021.
