The executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ganduje Ward, Dawaki Tofa Local Government Area, have been restrained by the Federal High Court in Kano from taking further action on the suspension of the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Justice Abdullahi Muhammad Liman, while granting an interim order, directed all respondents from implementing or giving effect to the suspension of Ganduje after a decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the executive members of APC, Ganduje Ward, on April 15, pending the hearing and determination of fundamental right of fair hearing filed by the APC national chairman before the court.
The court also directed parties to maintain the status quo before the emergency meeting of the APC executive members of Ganduje Ward and to stay all action in respect of this matter pending the hearing and determination of the application while fixing April 30 for further hearing in the matter.
Ganduje’s lawyer, Jazuli Mustapha, filed the application supported by an affidavit sworn to by one Suleiman A. Suleiman.
Respondents in the suit are Haladu Gwanjo, Nalami Mai AC, Muhammadu Baiti, Danmalam Gata, Musa Lado, Laminu Sani Barguna, Umar Sanda, Auwalu Galadima and Abubakar Daudu.
Others are the Nigeria Police Force, Commissioner of Police Kano State, Inspector-General of Police, Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
