Lionel Messi wins 8th record Ballon d’or award

Lionel Messi has won the Ballon d’or award for the record of eight time.

The Argentine and Inter Miami forward was annnoced the winner of the prestigious franze football magazine organized award on Monday in Paris.

By winning the award, Messi has now broken his own record set in 2021 when he won the Ballon d’Or for the seventh time.

Messi won his first world cup with Argentina in December 2022, after helping the country’s national team beat France to lift the World Cup Trophy.
