The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Justice Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore (retired), describing him as a great jurist and patriot.
Justice Belgore, who recently retired as the presiding Justice of the Ilorin Division of the Court of Appeal, passed away on Tuesday night, leaving behind a legacy of legal excellence and community leadership.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor AbdulRazaq extended heartfelt condolences to the entire Ilorin Emirate, acknowledging Justice Belgore as an illustrious son of the region.
He also offered condolences to the legal community, recognizing Justice Belgore’s significant contributions to the bar and the bench.
Describing Justice Belgore as a legal giant and a foremost community leader, Governor AbdulRazaq highlighted his role in providing support and guidance to many individuals throughout his career.
The Governor concluded by invoking prayers for the departed jurist, asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him a place in al-jannah Firdaus.
He also extended prayers for strength and comfort to the Belgore family and all those mourning the loss of Justice Belgore.
