Kwara State Governor extends condolences to Katsina following terrorist attacks

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Governor Dikko Umar Radda and the people of Katsina State in the wake of the tragic terrorist attacks in Kankara Local Government Area. The attacks resulted in numerous fatalities, including four policemen.

In a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin on Tuesday, Governor AbdulRazaq condemned the brutal assaults on innocent citizens and security operatives, calling the violence unwarranted and a grave violation of human rights.

“These cowardly attacks represent the highest level of cruelty and crimes against humanity,” he stated.

The Governor also voiced alarm at the boldness of the violent nonstate actors targeting security forces, highlighting the dedication of military personnel who risk their lives to protect the public.

“We are also alarmed at the audacity with which violent nonstate actors are unleashing violence on security forces, including military personnel, who put their lives on the line to protect citizens,” AbdulRazaq said.

Pledging solidarity with the government, security forces, and the people of Katsina during this challenging period, Governor AbdulRazaq stated, “We stand by the government, the security forces, and the good people of Katsina at this trying time. We ask Allaah to forgive the victims and comfort their families. We are confident that the security agencies will hunt down the criminals involved in these crimes against humanity.”

The statement underscores the commitment to support Katsina State as it navigates this difficult time.
