Kwara North Group Lauds Abdurrahman over Aisha, Kolo Appointments

Sequel to the nomination of a twenty six year-old Joana Nnazua Kolo and Aisha Ahman Patigi as commissioners-designates from Edu Local Government Area, a Kwara-based socio-cultural group popularly known as kwara North Rights and Interest Group (KnRIG) in a congratulatory statement jointly signed by its Anchor and Publicity Secretary, Comrades Kolo M. Jerry and Aliyu Seko Jibril has commended governor Abdurrahman Abdurrazaq for being gender and religious sensitive in the appointment of their daughters who are both muslim and Christian.

The statement reads, “We at the platform of kwara north right & interest group (knRIG) join other stakeholders and like mind to appreciate, his excellency Abdulrahman ABDULRASAQ the executive governor of kwara state for his consideration of Ms Joana Nnazua Kolo and Hajiya AISHA AHMAN as commissioner nominees from Edu and Patigi local government area respectively.

We are encouraged much further, considering the following :

1. The Governor’s gender sensitivity, providing a platform for more numbers of women active participation in governance.

2. Youth Inclusiveness, especially in the case of Ms Joana N, kolo that is record breaking as the youngest female Commissioner nominee in Nigeria at age 26. Who at the time of her nomination was a Corp (NYSC) member.

3. Religious sensitivity – This, an hallmark of a cosmopolitan leader shuffling amidst religious consideration to reflect our diversity and balance.

Going further, by this gesture, we are hopeful the four female nominee , Joana, Aisha Sa’adatu, lawal and probably few more others to be added, will be challenged to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor, thinking out of the box to impact positively on the lives of the people of kwarans and beyond, so to as well demystify the negativity of the nay Sayers.

We encourage your excellency not, to be distracted by antics of some political interest bloc, both within and without. Be rest assured of our collective resolve on the knRIG platform to ensure your success against all odds, as the buck they say stop at the leaders table.
