Kwara mandates KWSRRA registration for social investment program beneficiaries
In a bid to provide targeted access to social investment opportunities for citizens based on accurate data, the Kwara State Government has announced the mandatory Residents Registration for beneficiaries of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP), effective immediately.
This was contained in a statement issued by the General Manager of KWASSIP, Dr. Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini, through the Press Secretary Abdulganiyu Bukola.
According to the statement, the registration aims to create a credible and reliable database of all beneficiary categories, facilitating adequate planning and social inclusion.
“The registration is to ensure a credible and reliable database of all categories of beneficiaries, for adequate planning and social inclusion,” the statement read. “Upon completion of the registration, residents will be issued unique State Security Identification (SSID) numbers/cards that will be used for easy identification and proper documentation during the social investment process and disbursement of funds.”
The statement further noted that any beneficiary without an SSID number will no longer qualify for financial incentives or benefits from the government. This registration is open to all citizens and residents of Kwara State.
The statement also emphasized the importance of this mandatory registration, stating, “The government’s decision is significant to security and economic planning.”
