Kwara lawmaker Rukayat Shittu donates boreholes, generators to constituents

Hon. Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu, a member representing Owode/Onire constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, has donated two water-pumping systems and power generators to Aloba Babakudu village in Owode/Gbogun ward and Aluseke village in Agbonna/Elebue/Fata ward, Kwara State, as part of an effort to ensure clean water in her constituency.

The member, who happens to be the youngest lawmaker in the 10th Assembly, disclosed that the project was one out of many projects her office was planning to give to her constituents while maintaining that the communities solely owned the borehole and would be managed by them, adding that upon the completion of the boreholes, alongside two new generator sets would be donated to the two communities.

The Informant247 reports that the residents of Aloba Babakudu and Aluseke communities were on Monday heaved a sigh of relief when the moving train of Hon Rukayat commenced sinking the boreholes.
