Kwara holds common entrance examination for primary six pupils Saturday

Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, on Friday, announced that the primary six students in the state primary school will sit for the joint entrance examination to gain admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS) in the state.

In a statement by Peter Amogbonjaye, the press secretary in the ministry, said the examination will be held on Saturday 26 across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State from 8 ag.

The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State is scheduled for Saturday, 26 August 2023.

“The Common Entrance Examination is expected to be held by 8:00 a.m. in the various examination centres across the state.

“A statement issued by the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development today warned Headteachers/Principals and pupils to shun examination malpractices in any form.

“It is, however, instructive to state that the state government fully sponsors the placement examination, and as such, any Principal/Headteacher caught collecting illegal money from the pupils would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

“Members of the general public are urged to note that the examination has not been shifted, please.

“Also, there will be vehicular and human movement across the state due to the joint entrance examination (placement examination) that will be held tomorrow, August 26, 2023.
