‘Taiyeshe of Jebba land’, Former commissioner, Rotimi Illiasu bags chieftaincy tittle

Engineer Rotimi Illiasu, who formerly served as the Commissioner of Works and Transport in the inaugural administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been honored with the esteemed title of Taiyeshe of Jebba land in Moro Local Government, Kwara State.

The title was bestowed upon him by His Royal Highness, Oba Alhaji AbdulKadri Alabi Adebara, the Oba of Jebba land, following careful consideration.

The investiture ceremony took place on Friday at the palace of Oba AbdulKadri Adebara.

Oba AbdulKadri emphasized that Engineer Rotimi was chosen for this recognition due to his significant contributions to the advancement and development of the town.

Notable personalities who graced the event included Honorable Ahmad Saba, the representative of Edu Moro Patigi Federal Constituency; Honorable AbdulRaheem Medinat, the House of Assembly representative for Lanwa Eji Dongara constituency; and Honorable Lawal Ayanshola Saliu, the House of Assembly representative for Ipaye Malete Oloru. Many well-wishers from diverse backgrounds were also in attendance.

In his congratulatory remarks, Honorable Saba underscored Rotimi’s exceptional attributes as the impetus behind the bestowed chieftaincy title.

He conveyed the community’s pride in Rotimi’s accomplishments and contributions that merited this honor.

The event also incorporated financial aid for individuals affected by a fire incident that transpired on August 4th along Jebba Paper Mill Road.

Honorable AbdulRaheem Motunrayo Medinat, Honorable Lawal Ayanshola Saliu, and Honorable Rotimi united to provide funds for relief initiatives.

Moreover, Honorable Rotimi spearheaded additional fundraising for community development with the same purpose in mind.
