Kwara State Government has expended the sum of N164,042,340.00 for the renovation of the Patigi Secondary School in Patigi council area of the state, another report by the Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD) reveals.
It would be recalled that a report earlier released by the CSO said the state government had earmarked N361,957,438.82 for the ongoing renovation of the Government High School, Adeta in Ilorin West council of the state.
The state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had, in a virtual meeting with ENetSuD’s coordinator in August, proposed social auditing which would see civic groups and communities monitoring projects and issuing independent reports that would form the basis of his administration making payments to contractors after the initial mobilisation fee.
Accorring to document released to the CSO, the project, which is valued at N164,042,340.00 is meant to revamp about 26 projects in the school.
The breakdowns are: Renovation of SS1B and SS1C of home economics lab (N5,693,053), Completion of science laboratory block (N14,284,668), Renovation of introtech lab JSS block (N18,434,820), Renovation of administrative block JSS (N4,801,709), Renovation of SS3 and library (N1,971,120), Renovation of examination hall with an office (N5,558,809), Provision of electrically driven motorized borehole (N5,019,460), Renovation of a block of 4 classrooms SS2 (N8,310,969).
Other projects in the infographics are; Renovation of a block room (N5,353,216), Renovation of physics lab (N8,656,934), Rehabilitation/completion of generator house (N1,514,200), Renovation of 4nos blocks of 4bedroom bungalows (N31,326,308), Renovation of block of single rooms (N3,479,722), Construction of landscaping approx 1,200sqm (N1,500,000), Construction of block work drainage, channel and culverts (N3,046,583), Construction of a block work fence work (N2,361,806), Provision of electrification within the school (N1,221,643), Supply of furniture to Computer room, Physics, Biology and Chemistry labs (N3,800,000), Construction of drainage channel (N2,828,955), Provision of 6 space car park (N305,600), Construction of 4 compartments toilets (N3,400,825), Provision of sport facilities (N1,254,300), Renovation of staff quarters 3 bedroom flats (N6,724,878), 12 Toilets (N8,310,969), Construction of 240m length kerbs of admin block (N2,350,000).
