Kwara govt hails medical team as free medical, surgical outreach enters 5th week
The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Health, has commended the medical team involved in ongoing Free Medical and Surgical outreach for their show of prudence and professionalism in the ongoing exercise.
Dr. Amina Ahmef El-Imam, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, while commending the team during her visit to Offa General Hospital at the ongoing Outreach on Thursday, charged health workers in the state to sustain the excellent work at ensuring the good health and well-being of all Kwarans, acknowledging the impressive performance of experts, to ensure that health care reaches every household, especially at the grassroots.
The Statewide medical and surgical outreach services exercise today entered the 5th week, taking place at the General Hospital Offa, in Offa Local Government, to provide both medical consultation and surgical services to the people from the area.
So far, the outreach exercise has recorded a large turnout of beneficiaries, cutting across various age brackets, including children, adults and the elderly, who had the opportunity of direct one one-on-one consultation with the specialists, who were administered with free drugs, eyeglasses as well as a cataract operation, which the remote cause of blindness.
In his remarks, Alhaji Kunle Adegboye, the chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Offa Local Government, appreciated the team and the quality services provided for the good people of Offa and Kwara State at large despite the prevailing economic hardship.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Mrs Saadat Abdullah and Mrs Ganiyat Ramatu from Offa thanked the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for the kind gesture.
