Barely 24 hours to his second term inauguration, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor is billed to receive the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) award from the Federal Government of Nigeria.

This is made known by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, saying it had obtained approval from President Muhammadu Buhari to present special national awards on deserving personalities.

The CON is one of the special national honours bestowed on eminent Nigerians.

The Informant247 had last week Wednesday reported that Governor AbdulRazaq emerged as the new Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), after he won his re-election bid in what has been described as a landslide victory.

It was learned that the Kwara State Governor in his last four years, led transformative policies, programmes and ideas that have had huge impact on the socioeconomic configuration of the state and is widely adjudged as one of the best-performing governors in the country.

AbdulRazaq is also a champion of women and youth inclusion in politics and governance. He has won several awards and laurels for his incredible strides in government.
