Kwara Fire Service sensitises traders on safety precautions

The Kwara State Fire Service on Thursday held a sensitization lecture for traders at Yoruba market, off Ahmadu Bello way in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital city.

The spokesperson of the fire service, SFS Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, said the traders were lectured on safety precaution to reduce the incident of fire outbreak among other.

“During the sensitization lecture, the marketers were allowed to ask several questions about the Fire Safety Tips in order to ascertain the level of their understanding as regard to the given lecture,” he said in a statement obtained by this medium.

The statement added that the president of the Yoruba Marketers Association, Alhaji Agunbiade, commended the State Fire Service for its hard work, and coming up with the sensitisation exercise.

He quoted the fire service director as urging the marketers to strictly follow all the necessary safety guidelines given by the sensitization team during the lecture.
