Kwara, Dangote to disburse micro-grants to 16,000 women next week
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the President of Aliko Dangote Foundation, Alhaji Aliko Dangote will, on Wednesday 31st March, flag-off disbursement of micro-grants to 16,000 women living in the rural communities of Kwara State.
The flag-off is scheduled to hold at Bode-Saadu, headquarters of the Moro local government area of the State.
A statement by the State Chairman of Aliko Dangote Foundation/Kwara State Government Micro Grants for Rural Women, Kayode Oyin-Zubair stated the selection process which started in August 2020 went through due diligence with inputs from critical stakeholders at the grassroots level.
Mr. Kayode stated that the sum of 10,000,000 will be allotted to every local government in the state as every beneficiary will take home N10,000.
“A thousand women in each of the local government areas will take home one-off micro-grant worth N10,000. It means N10,000,000 will enter the economy of each local council in the State with a total of N160m sitting in the State during the Easter celebration and Ramadan fasting period.
“However, a list of beneficiaries will be pasted on the notice board at the local government secretariats across the State. Beneficiaries are also expected to check with their ward and local government beneficiaries selection committees for further details.”
The AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration has continued to curry every development partner in its quest to banish hunger and poverty from the State.
