… appreciate the traditional rulers for firm support
Youths in Kwara North have said they are ready to resist any form of propaganda sponsored by the ruling APC government in Kwara State ahead of the 2023 general election.
This was disclosed during meetings held in Lafiagi and Kaima Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The youth representatives from Kaima, Patigi, Lafiagi, Mooro, and Edu stated that they have realized the lies concocted by the APC party to win the heart of their people in 2019, and that same propaganda is what they are still selling to our people.
Present at the reconciliation meeting are, Hon. Haruna Muhammed Likpata, Issa Joseph, Mr Jubril A. Muhammed, Adam Ibrahim, Hon. Usman Kawu all from Edu Local Government; from Kaima, Abdulmumeen Muhammed, Lukman Hassan, Muhammed Abdulazeez, Umar M.B Waziri, Nurudeen Suleiman.
Also present are, Kayode Alabi, Rasak Ajibola, Mahmud Abdulfatai Ajeje, Iyanda Rauf Bello, Abdulazeez Balaro, Wasiu Oriyomi, Hon. Nasir Adifa; from Baruteen, Abdullahi Galajima, Zakari Muhammed Zabi, Umar Saliu Bio; from Patigi, Hon. Salihu Yahaya, Abdullahi Sheshi, Umar Bologi, Comrade Shaaba Muhammed.
The youth representatives rallied around other regions in the state to gather support for Kwara North to produce Governor in 2023.
They added that since the emergence of democracy, Kwara Central has ruled for 16 years, Kwara South has ruled for 8 years and it’s time for Kwara North to produce the next governor of Kwara State come 2023.
The conveners of the meeting, Comrade Nura Muhammed and Comrade AbdulRahman Kayode, on behalf of the other Kwara North youths present at the program reiterated that the youths need to be well informed in order to resist any form of action from the ruling APC which may affect their 2023 political ambition.
Muhammed, who was one of the conveners expressed, “That strategic meeting we held has been long overdue. We need to identify with all the youth at the grassroots and chat a new part towards our communities and state development.
“Our youth need to be informed, sensitized, so as not to fall victim of propagandists again.”
For his part, AbdulRahman stressed, “The future of this state lies in the hands of the youth and this is the right time we take charge. Our coming together is for the development and unity and we have the belief that we shall win.”
The youth representatives appreciated the traditional rulers for all their efforts and moves toward actualising Kwara North 2023 agenda.
