KW-HMB monitors Adewole surgical outreach, pledges continued support

The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KW-HMB) has pledged continued support for the ongoing surgical outreach at Adewole Cottage Hospital, Ilorin.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Abdulraheem Malik, made the commitment on Monday during a monitoring visit to the facility to assess the conduct of the outreach and the quality of services being provided to beneficiaries.

Malik inspected the level of participation, availability of medical personnel and drugs, organisation of the exercise and the condition of the facility. He also interacted with healthcare workers and beneficiaries.

He said the monitoring was aimed at ensuring that the outreach met expected standards and that beneficiaries received quality and timely care.

The KW-HMB boss commended the surgical team for their dedication and professionalism, assuring healthcare workers involved in the exercise of the Board’s continued support.

“Our responsibility is not only to provide healthcare services, but also to ensure that those services are delivered effectively and reach the people who need them most,” he said.

Malik said the Board would continue to monitor healthcare facilities and programmes under its supervision to ensure effective service delivery.

He also urged residents requiring surgical consultations and other services covered by the outreach to take advantage of the opportunity.
