Kwara 2027: Edu/Moro/Patigi fully locked for APC, Ajani, says group

The Renewal Champions Movement has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is on course for a resounding victory in the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, describing the winner of the party’s primary election, Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua, as a tested administrator, grassroots politician and unifying figure with widespread acceptance across the constituency.

In a statement jointly signed by its Coordinator, Gidado Babatunde Samson, and Secretary, Akanbi Hawau Bukola, the group said Dr. Ajani’s wining of the party’s primary election reflects the confidence reposed in him by party members across the constituency.

The group noted that Dr. Ajani recorded a convincing victory in the primary election, a development it said underscored his popularity, credibility and enduring relationship with APC members and stakeholders across Edu, Moro and Patigi local government areas.

According to the group, the outcome of the primary demonstrated that Dr. Ajani enjoys broad support cutting across communities, age groups and political interests.

“Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua is not a newcomer to public service. He is a respected administrator whose record of service, professional accomplishments and commitment to community development have earned him admiration within and outside the constituency.

“His years of experience in public administration have equipped him with the knowledge, leadership capacity and understanding required to effectively represent the people of Edu/Moro/Patigi at the National Assembly.”

The group further described Dr. Ajani as one of the most connected and accessible political figures in the constituency, stressing that his extensive network across government institutions, development circles and the private sector would place him in a strong position to attract meaningful projects and opportunities to the constituency.

According to the statement, effective representation goes beyond making appearances on the floor of parliament, adding that it requires the ability to build strategic relationships, facilitate development partnerships and secure opportunities that directly improve the lives of constituents.

“Dr. Ajani possesses the reach, influence and relationships necessary to facilitate the delivery of the dividends of democracy to our people. His connections, coupled with his passion for service, will undoubtedly translate into tangible benefits for communities across Edu, Moro and Patigi.”

The group also highlighted what it described as Dr. Ajani’s uncommon grassroots appeal, saying his acceptance across towns and villages within the constituency gives the APC a significant advantage ahead of the election.

“Wherever you go within the constituency, you will find people who identify with Dr. Ajani’s vision, humility and commitment to service. He remains one of the few leaders whose popularity cuts across political, social and generational lines.

“His relationship with ordinary people, community leaders, youth groups, women and party faithful has remained strong over the years, making him a natural choice for the task ahead.”

The Renewal Champions Movement therefore urged party leaders, members and supporters across the constituency to remain united and continue mobilising support for APC, expressing optimism that the party would record a landslide victory in the constituency.

The group added that with Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua as its flagbearer, the APC is well positioned not only to retain the seat but also to strengthen its political dominance across Edu, Moro and Patigi Federal Constituency in 2027.
