Some kidnappers in Jalingo, Taraba state had refused to set free a pregnant woman who fell into labour in their den, instead they requested that ransom should be sent to them.
The pregnant woman and six others were kidnapped by the gunmen in Jalingo on Saturday night.
It was gathered that the kidnappers invaded the Primary Board Area in Jalingo at 3 am on Saturday and kidnapped the victims.
The pregnant lady who based in Kano was reported to have traveled to Taraba, her parents for maternity care.
It was gathered that the kidnappers made three houses in the affected area their targets and victimized them for about 40 minutes.
However, the abductors called the father of the kidnapped pregnant woman and requested immediate ransom, expressing the kidnapped had fallen into labour.
The Police Spokesperson, Taraba Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, affirmed the news of the abduction of the pregnant woman and six others but did not give details.
