IMC secures N1bilion bank guaranty for 2022/23 Nigeria league season

The Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL/IMC)has secured a bank Guaranty of #1 Billion for the 2022/23 Football League season

According to insidenews 247, the IMC has also secured a sponsor and co-sponsor for the league.

“As we speak, we’ve already secured a bank bond of #1Billion for the League, we also have a tittle sponsor with other co-sponsors of the league who will handle other functional aspect of the League “.a source claimed.

While the IMC has before now directed that all the 20 Premier League clubs to produce a #4million insurance policy for its players, it has also expressed its commitment to allow only clubs with standardised facilities and television friendly arena to host league matches.

Meanwhile, IMC has since forwarded a tentative date of 18th December for the commencement of the 2022/23 football league season to the (NFF) has accepted to settle all match indemnities owed by the defunct IMC.

“We will settle all outstanding match indemnities,but it’s going to be a gradual process depending on how the league body generate income”, the source added.

The IMC was set up to administer the league by the Ministry of Youth and Sports development, Sunday Dare after the dissolution of the LMC by federal government through a supreme court order.
