ILORIN EMIRATE STUDENTS’ UNION (NATIONAL HEADQUATERS) HOLDS QUR’ANIC COMPETITION

  The Ilorin Emirate student Union (National Headquarters) organises a three stages Qur’anic competition to mark this year Ramadan.

  According to information gathered by one of the correspondent of THE INFORMANT,  the competition which started on the 3rd of June, 2017, at Okesuna L.G.E.A. primary school, with the first category who are “Juziu thani” reciter from secondary school had since continue to hold every Saturday.

  The third category which also entails the award presentation to participants and Ramadan public lecture is expected to hold on the Saturday 17th of June, 2017 at the same venue. The National President, Sheikh Haroona Bolaji who expresses his delight at this, disclosed that the program is meant to encourage the students to continue to uphold the legacy Ilorin is known for. He said:” we want our student to continue upholding the legacy we are known for, which is the Qur’an, Ilorin is known for her Islamic heritage, and we, the coming generation must continue to uphold it”.

  The Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union is an indigenous Association which serves as umbrella for students from the five local government which constitute the Ilorin Emirate schooling within and outside Kwara state.
