‘I was manipulated’: NANS President recants allegations against Seyi Tinubu
Atiku Isah, the factional President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has retracted his earlier allegations against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, admitting that the claims were false.
In a viral video, Isah had initially alleged that Seyi Tinubu and Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Ayodele Olawande, invited him to Lagos, offering him N100 million to support President Bola Tinubu. He asserted that his refusal to accept the bribe led to his alleged abduction on April 15, 2025.
However, in a statement released via his Facebook page, Isah apologized and clarified the situation, stating, “It has become imperative to note that the offer of N100,000,000, which was allegedly made to me to support President Tinubu, was clearly untrue. Ladoja Olusola, who was desperate to get me out of my legitimate position as the duly elected President of NANS, fed me the lies and half truths for the sole purpose of achieving his selfish agenda.”
Isah also recanted his previous assertion that Seyi Tinubu had sent thugs to disrupt his inauguration, confirming that Seyi was never present at the event. This development underscores the internal strife within NANS and the potential for misinformation fueled by personal agendas.
