I only paused in Kano to greet my mum – Sanusi Lamido Sanusi
The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has made clarification that he was traveling through Kano to Dutse, Jigawa State and had a stop over in Kano.
He said he was surrounded by a large number of people who persuaded him to pay a visit to his mother.
The former Emir revealed that bad flying weather made him pause at Kano where the Aircraft landed to enable the safety of the passengers.
Sanusi said, “I couldn’t go directly to Jigawa State because of bad weather and as I touched down in Kano, hundreds of people stormed us and asked me to at least go and greet my mother which I did”.
He said as a citizen of the country, he has the right visit any place he wishes to proceed to.
He said there’s a court judgment which gives him the freedom to visit any state of his choice.
The Informant247 understands this will be the first time the dethroned king would revisit the state, 3 years following his dethronement from office by the incumbent Governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje.
