Igbo Presidency: Ohanaeze tackles Oluwo of Iwo, says he needs to learn from experienced monarchs The Informant247

Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland, has said he cannot be kidnapped or assassinated by bandits or any criminals.

Oluwo, while reacting to the recent kidnap and murder of traditional rulers in the country, said the monarchs have become targets of kidnappers because they rely on their powers for protection, as he added God has been his protector.

The royal father, while speaking with journalists in his palace in Iwo, said continued reliance of traditional rulers on deities would not guarantee safety but bring dishonour to the thrones.

He said, “I am telling you right here that no one would dare attempt to kidnap or mark me for assassination.”

“I am covered by God’s protection, not by any deity or gods. I am using this opportunity to call on my colleague monarchs to stop putting their hopes on deities and return everything to the Almighty God whom they represent.”
