Hundreds young people flocked to Ikeja’s Ndubuisi Kanu Park to celebrate valentine in Ikeja

Hundreds of young people flocked to Ikeja’s Ndubuisi Kanu Park on Monday to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day, also known as Lovers’ Day, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to a NAN journalist who visited the park, individuals, largely adolescents, could be seen having fun there, while others occupied themselves with food and beverages.

Miss Mofe Ayeni, who was present with her boyfriend, stated that the day was an opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

“I’ve been looking forward to this season for a long time.” It’s a chance to spend quality time with my lover and exchange gifts.

I’ve gone to this location with my boyfriend on multiple occasions, but today is unique because of the occasion, and I hope to build many memories here, especially with my beau,” she remarked.

Mr Adeleke Idahosa, a father of four, said he planned to spend the day with his family and show them how much he loves them.

“I was looking forward to the day so I could take a well-deserved break from the pressures of work and enjoy a peaceful setting.”

“Coming here allows me to appreciate nature and the environment.” “It’s great for the soul,” he remarked.

Mr Dotun Alao, a pleasure seeker, stated that he came to relieve stress.

I’m simply an ordinary person that came here to have fun and relax.

Nuru Abdul, a meat merchant, observed that the day is profitable for his business.

“I made money from business today because I had a lot of funseekers patronising me.”
