Hon Charles Anyanwu, the House of Assembly candidate for Etche Constituency in Rivers State, vying on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC has narrowly escaped death as hoodlums launched attack on his residence in Port Harcourt, the capital of the state.
The Informant247 recalls that the House of Assembly candidate, few days ago, also escaped some yet-to-be identified hoodlums shot at his convoy during a campaign rally in Etche, his local government area.
Sources who are close to the victim of the incident said hoodlums stormed Anyanwu’s residence and detonated an improvised substance suspected to be dynamites.
No one died in the incident but the arsonists vandalized his property and the buildings.
The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Rivers State police command SP Grace Iringe Koko, said the matter.
The PPRO added that the incident was under investigation.

The leading candidates in the presidential election are Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC; Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP; Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP among other presidential candidates.
