Heavy security in Kano as Buhari attends event
The presence of heavy security was noticed in some strategic places in Kano city in readiness for the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari to Kano state.
The president was to declare open the Nigeria Air Force Week programmed to hold in Kano.
The Informant247 gathered that the road which leads to the palace of the Emir of Kano has been occupied with heavy security.
Hundreds of armed security were present at the emir’s palace.
The armed security agencies present include the men of the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army among others.
Newsmen were not allowed into the palace, where the president may have prepared to visit before moving to the venue of the air force event.
Recall that there was an explosion last week in the Sabongari area of Kano state that cost nine persons their lives and many more sustained injuries.
The aftermath of the explosion was a disagreement between the residents and the police, about the source of the explosion.
The residents said the explosion was as a result of bomb attack, while the police said it was gas explosion.
