Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended his congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following the unanimous decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) to uphold the President’s election.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor AbdulRazaq highlighted that the PEPT’s judgment reaffirms the integrity of the electoral process and demonstrates that the election results accurately represent the will of the majority of eligible voters.
Governor AbdulRazaq also commended the Court of Appeal/PEPT for upholding the constitution and resisting any undue influence or intimidation that was based on unsubstantiated claims of electoral misconduct.
He expressed, “Ultimately, our democracy has been strengthened, and the rights of Nigerians to freely choose their leaders have been upheld, with all issues meticulously examined and resolved in accordance with relevant laws. This verdict is a triumph of truth.”
The Governor assured that this decision by the PEPT will further motivate the President to fulfill his campaign promises to the Nigerian people.
He pledged continued cooperation with President Tinubu and his team to work towards building a more robust economy, a safer nation, and a happier population.
