The Gobir Organization Foundation on Sunday rewarded the second batch of its loan beneficiaries who have completed the repayment.
Waziri Yakubu Gobir, the founder of the Foundation while addressing the beneficiaries at the foundation premises in Ilorin, expressed his satisfaction with the conduct of the scheme beneficiaries, he said that he was delighted to see that the second batch of the scheme were able to trade and repay their loans.
Some of the gifts presented to the beneficiaries at the event includes Market Umbrellas, Fabrics and Personal Care Products.
Waziri said “The fact that the Gobir Organisation has successfully introduced all the woman to official banking is a testimony that the financial literacy training embarked upon by the Organization for beneficiaries is yielding results, like a boost for Nigeria’s banking sector.
Gobir further reaffirmed his commitment to reduce the rate of poverty in Kwara State through various scheme part of which is the Social Investment Programs.
He also informed the public that Gobir Organization Foundation is working on strategies to build sustainable programmes that would address the needs of the youth.
Recall that Gobir Organization Foundation – in a way to help local traders – embarked on disbursement of zero-colleteral and interest-free loans to thousands of traders accross the 16 local government areas of Kwara State.
