Ganduje renames kano varsity after Dangote

Kano State Government has approved the renaming of Kano State University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil.

The State Executive Council made this confirmation at its last sitting which was presided over by the State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The Commissioner of Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, via a statement on Sunday, revealed that the decision of the government to rename the institution was motivated by the recommendation from the university’s visitation panel.

The statement revealed that the institution is now to be called Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST), Wudil.

The statement also revealed that the approval of the renaming has been sent to the State House of Assembly for necessary amendment.
