According to Prof Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, the Chairman of the Government Committee on Students’ Palliative, in a statement released on Thursday, the technical sub-committee of the Kwara State Government Committee is expected to start the verification exercise to sort, analyse, and authenticate the data submitted by the applicants online, adding that the successful applicants will be credited as soon as the committee completes its verification exercise.
Students’ palliative payment is one of the numerous initiatives of the Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration to mitigate the effect of removing fuel subsidies by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Kwara State Government has extended similar initiatives to civil servants, traders, and artisans. These are in addition to distributing rice palliatives to the oppressed in the state non-partisanly.
