Fire Destroy Properties Worth Millions In Ilorin

The people of Odota, Ilorin were thrown into confusion today as properties worth millions of naira were destroyed as a result of midnight fire outbreak.
It was gathered that the fire started around 11pm yesterday after most of the shop owners had closed for the day, and most of the affected building located along Kilometre 1, Lagos-Ogbomosho bye pass, was used mainly as office and workshop by some artisans.
While bemoaning their looses, the occupant appealed to the government and philanthropists to help ameliorate the situation of the affected people.
Residents and eyewitnesses afterward pleaded with the state government to make the fire service more proactive in cases of emergency arguing that if the service had arrived on time the situation might have been saved.
