Barely 24 hours after the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, FIFA has announced the list of host Cities for the 2026 edition of the mundial.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar ended with Argentina winning the title after edging France 4-2 on penalties.
For the first time in the history of the World Cup, 3 countries Canada, Mexico and the United States will host the tournament in 2026.
The number of the participating teams has also been increased from 32 to 48 with format still yet to be decided upon.
FIFA listed 17 cities, with the United States having 12 Cities, Mexico 5 and Canada 2.
Atlanta, Boston,Dallas, Houston Texas, Kansas City,Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia,San Francisco,Bay Area and Seattle are the American cities billed for the event.
While Toronto and Vancouver will host games in Canada, Guadalajara,Mexico city and Monterrey will be the center of attractions in Mexico
