Fashola, represented by Comptroller, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in Zamfara, Mr Hassan Mohammed, said the President Muhmmadu Buhari-led administration had stepped up to better the lives of the citizens in all sectors of national life.
“It is true that a lot still needs to be done in many sectors of our social, economical and political lives, such as education. The present administration has stepped up to lead the process of getting work done.
“The gap of our infrastructure needs is steadily being bridged by a gradual process of repairs, renewal and construction on major highways, and it has reached the schools,” he said.
The minister said that the quality education would be impacted by the quality of infrastructure and the learning environment.
He said that those who were in doubt should listen to some of the feedbacks from students in the school where such interventions had taken place.
Fashola noted that the ministry had successfully intervened in internal road works of 46 federal tertiary institutions and handed over 29 as at 2021.
”We now have another 17 ready to be handed over, while we are currently attending to 30 roads in similar institutions across the country, making a total of 76,” he added.
