Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal House of Representatives, alongside a party stalwart, Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya, on Friday joined other Muslims to perform two rakats Jumat prayer in Alapa Community, Asa Local Government.
The philanthropist has decided to support and fund the roofless mosque, which has been in its current condition for over ten years.
The House of Representatives hopeful has donated a sum of 5 million naira for the completion of the project.
While speaking to the congregation, Mallam Muktar Shagaya saluted the faithfulness of those who have been making use of the mosque under such a scorching and harsh weather for ten years.
In a similar vein, the candidate of the ruling party has visited the Fulani community at Gaa Lamba, Alapa Community, pledging to contribute financially to the renovation of the village’s mosque project with the sum of 2 million naira.
He further said that the Muktar Shagaya Movement shall take charge of an installation of two solar power systems with fans to the mosque after its completion.
Among those who accompanied the Green Chamber hopeful were: Alhaji Mahmoud Turawa, APC Kwara Central Senatorial Chairman; Alhaji Baba Olosasa; Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Adefalu; Alhaji Musa Ayinla Yeketi; and Alhaji Kawu Faada.
