It’s definitely going to be another roller-coaster affair in the Semi-finals of the English FA Cup as Manchester City face Liverpool, while Chelsea takes on Crystal Palace, The Informant247 reports.
Chelsea beat Championship side Middlesbrough 2-0 on Saturday to book their place in the semi-finals while Pep Guardiola’s side eased past Southampton on Sunday, beating the Saints 4-1.
Liverpool on the other hand had Diogo Jota to thank when he broke the deadlock for them in the 78th minutes to earn them a place in the last four.
Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace cruised past Everton with a 4 nil victory as they look forward to causing upset in the last four stages of the journey.
Both semi-final fixtures will be played on 16th April, barring rescheduling, with the final being set for 14th May.
While FA Cup remains a matter of priority, top clubs like Liverpool and Man City would have a tough time slugging it out in the semi-final even as they are both keen on Premier league title with just a point separating the citizens from the Reds on the log after 29 games each.
Chelsea may have lost out of the race of the league, the Thomas Tuchel’s side will be looking forward to clinch the FA Cup as they eye their third consecutive final in three seasons
