The former speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and the Professor of Constitutional Law, RT Hon. Prof. Ali Ahmad has expressed his sadness over the demise of the PDP chieftain, Prince Ayodeji Oni, saying his death is a hyge loss to Kwara PDP and State as a whole.
The Informant247 gathered that Prince Ayodeji Oni fondly called Oni of Kwara, on Wednesday died in Ilorin after battling with prolonged illness.
Until his death, Oni served as the Special Assistant to two-former governors on Transport and Communications respectively.
The former lawmaker in a condolence message he personally signed, said, “I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Prince Ayodeji Oni. I expressed my heartfelt condolences to his family, Allofa of Illofa, Oba Samuel Dada; our party leaders and members in Oke-Ero Local Government, and the good people of his community on the painful exit of their illustrious son. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
“Oni of K is well-known for his selflessness, dedication, and immense contributions to Kwara state. His passing is a huge loss to the state, most especially his immediate community. He will be sorely missed.
“I pray God Almighty to comfort us with the impactful life he lived, May He find comfort with his Lord,” Ali prayed.
