Ex-Kwara speaker Ali Ahmad mourns passing of Mrs Florence Morenike Saraki
Prof. Ali Ahmad, the former speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, has expressed sadness over the death of Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, the mother of former Senate President Senate Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON.
Ahmad, in a statement signed on Wednesday in Ilorin, the state capital, shared in the grief of the Saraki family while describing the passing of their matriarch as sad and shocking.
The 8th state assembly speaker also highlighted Mama’s impact as a bridge-builder and a dedicated mother to her children.
The Informant247 reports that Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, former Senate President, on Tuesday evening, announced the passing of his mother, Chief Florence Saraki.
Saraki, in a statement issued, said, “With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024.
Professor Ali extended his heartfelt condolences to the entire Saraki family, especially the former governor Bukola Saraki, while urging them to take solace in the impactful life of their matriarch.
He also prayed that God Almighty accept the return of Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, forgive her misdeeds, and grant her eternal rest.
