Pep Guardiola said Erling Haaland will be assessed for his availability in the game against Arsenal on Wednesday.
Haaland was substituted at half-time of City’s game with Aston Villa after sustaining what was described as ‘an apparent thigh injury’.
The striker who was replaced by Julian Alvarez appeared to be struggling with a thigh problem after having a collision with goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez in the first half.
“He had a big knock and was uncomfortable.
We didn’t want to take a risk and we will assess over the next days.Hopefully he is ready [for the Arsenal game on Wednesday], but we will see” he told skysports.
Manchester won the game 3-1 as they go into the Wednesday’s crucial Premier League meeting with leaders Arsenal-who still holds five points different from them.
