Encomiums as Supporters hold special prayer to mark Lukman Mustapha’s birthday
Supporters of the Ilorin-born technocrat and All Progressives Congress (APC)Chieftain, Alhaji Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha(LOM) across the length and breadth of Nigeria converged in Ilorin on Thursday, July 10, to hold a special prayer to mark the occasion of his 56th Birthday.
Held at his Rebirth Office, along Stadium road in Ilorin, the prayer drew top dignitaries and well wishers, who showered encomium on the community leader and CEO and founder of the popular Sobi 101.9 FM Radio in Ilorin.
The Islamic clerics at the event, who took turns to pray for the celebrant described him as a selfless leader and a philanthropist who has demonstrated uncommon kindness to the less privilege.
Sheikh AbdulRazaq Alohunmata, who was the guest lecturer at the event commended the organisers of the prayer,and extolled the virtues of the celebrant.
In his sermon, he described Alhaji Lukman as a man of value and progressive who has contributed immensely to the development of the society.
“He has remained committed to his values and morals deeply rooted in his belief in Almighty Allah. This is one of the thing that has kept him going despite all the challenges” the cleric stated.
He however urged the celebrant to continue to uphold his hallmark of integrity and righteousness and equally prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him all his heart desires, a long life and prosperity in the service of humanity.
Speaking briefly after the prayers, the Chief of Staff to Alhaji Lukaman Mustapha, Alhaji Olayiwola Karatu stated that the event was organised by well wishers to celebrate the Ilorin-born technocrat and to also show appreciation for his commitment to the development of the people and society at large.
Alhaji Lukman Mustapha, fondly known as the the Rebirth Movement Captain holds many chieftaincy titles amongst which are the A’are F’Iwagboye of Iru Kingdom in Lagos, Otunba Oro-Ago Kingdom and Barden of Okuta Emirate in Baruten local government area of Kwara State.
The APC Chieftain is one time Executive Director, Loans & Mortgage Services (L&MS) representing the North central zone on the board of the Federal Mortgage Bank.
The event was witnessed by different support groups of the celebrant including the Ilorin West Local Government Executives, All the 12 ward Chairmen, Freedom squad, LOM Frontiers and LOM Bright Ladies.
Others include LOM women wing, LOM Abegi Anu Aluko ,LOM G9 and LOM Volunteers. The event was closed by the cutting of a birthday cake in honour of the celebrant.
