EFCC arrests 15 suspected internet fraudsters in Kwara

In a recent crackdown on internet fraud, the Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 15 additional suspects in Kwara State. This follows the earlier apprehension of 22 individuals just days prior.

The latest arrests occurred in the Tanke Oke-Odo area of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. A statement from Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s head of Media and Publicity, confirmed these arrests as a result of credible intelligence connecting the suspects to various fraudulent online activities.

Along with the suspects, authorities recovered several high-value items, including eight luxury cars, smartphones, and high-end laptops. This brings the total number of internet fraud suspects arrested in just one week to 37.

The EFCC has indicated that the suspects will face charges in court following the completion of their investigations.
