Seventeen (17) suspected internet fraudsters have been apprehended by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC of Benin Zonal Command.
The anti financial crime agency made this revelation via a series of tweets on Monday.
The EFCC has said that the suspects were apprehended at their hideout in Benin City, Edo State, after an actionable intelligence got to the Commission.
They were ”Arebu Julius, Ebiechuwa Victory Ovie, John Uwague, Edward Asuelimhen, Onyeka Sunday, Omorefe Osazee, Kelvin Emmanuel, Osamuliamen Maxwell, Osrmudiamen Aganjele, Godday Osaretin, and Osayande Osariemen.
Others were Destiny Enobokhare, Daniel Collins, Collins Edobor, Chukwuemeka Johnson, Omofuma Godpower, and Progress Edoagu.
Items recovered from them included Phones, laptops, and seven vehicles of different brands, at the point of their arrest.
EFCC further said that the suspects would be dragged to court as soon as investigations are done.
