The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reportedly been set free from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The former minister was reportedly released after six hours of interrogation.
The Department of State Services (DSS) invited the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Femi Fani-Kayode, for alleging that there’s an underground attempt to stage a coup.
The chieftain of the ruling party made his invitation to the DSS known in a statement made available on Monday morning.
He said he would respect the invitation because he believes there’s nothing to worry about.
The Informant247 recalls that the APC chieftain on Saturday alleged that the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar had a secret meeting with some army generals.
The Defence Headquarters reacted to the allegation and falsified the claim, reaffirming their loyalty to democracy.
The presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku called on the DSS and police to summon the APC chieftain for interrogation.
Hours after regaining his freedom from the custody of the DSS, the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, Bayo Onanuga, revealed through his Twitter handle that the former Minister has been set free.
“Femi Fani-Kayode released by DSS after about six hours of interrogation,” Onanuga wrote on his Twitter page.
