The management of the National Assembly has made provision for a new chamber where plenary activities would be accommodated as the famous House of Representatives is under renovation.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila on Wednesday conducted an inspection on the House and the new makeshift chamber that has been made provision for.

The new House, a 270-seater capacity, is less than the 360 members of the lower chamber.

The Informant247 recalls that the National Assembly was seriously criticized over its plan to spend N37 billion on the building.

However, the funds budgeted has been reviewed to N9 billion in the 2021 budget.

The parliamentarians are expected to resume on the 20th of September after a seven-week holiday.
