Demolition: Moshood Mustapha challenges encroachment claim by Kwara govt with evidence
…says complex built according to government-approved plan
New developments have emerged regarding the business complex of Kwara APC stalwart, Hon. Moshood Mustapha (MM), which some parts were marked for demolition by the Kwara State Government on Monday.
Hon. Mustapha has presented evidence to challenge the government’s claim that his business complex, located along Sulu Gambari Road, GRA, Ilorin, encroaches on government setbacks.
Documents provided by the Head of Media and Public Relations to Hon. Mustapha, Dr. Opeyemi Aregbesola, include the building plan approved by the Kwara State Government.

The evidence shows that the business complex was constructed in accordance with this approved plan.
The building plan, as well as the pictorial evidence provided by the government, reveal that the areas marked in red are within the approved land area granted to Mustapha by the government in 2016.

Dr. Opeyemi stated, “Hon. Mustapha is a progressive-minded individual and a strong advocate of due process. He supports developmental projects that will enhance the state’s infrastructure, but insists that the government must respect its own approvals. The entire land area housing Crystal Place was duly approved by the Kwara State Government, so the claim of encroachment is inaccurate.”
Based on the provided evidence, Dr Opeyemi concluded that there seems to be an underlying motive behind the proposed demolition of a section of Crystal Place by the Kwara State Government.
