•Cautions members on “public communication”
THE Kwara State Chapter of The Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday urged the state governor, Mall AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to be more proactive in combating the novel coronavirus.
In a statement issued by the state publicity secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, the party appeals to Kwarans to follow precautions that will stop the spread of the virus.
The party further cautioned her members against public communication without the approval of either the chairman or publicity secretary.
The statement read in part, “The party is proud and appreciates its numerous members who have taken it upon themselves to show love and support to fellow kwarans with different palliative measures at this critical point, irrespective of the unimpressive and unprepared response rate of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq APC led adminstration.
“The party further advises the present government in the state so ensure contact tracing across the state to ensure that those that have contacts with the two index cases, are properly isolated, treated and not subjected to stigmatization or discrimination at any point.
“Once again, the PDP Kwara state chapter urges the state government to show more proactiveness in combating this deadly pandemic. It’s important that all hands must be on deck irrespective of political differences or ideology to fight this common enemy endangering the human existence globally.”
