Saliu Mustapha sympathizes with family, KWASU over death of VC, Professor Akanbi

Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Senatorial candidate for Kwara Central on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed unhappiness over the passing of Professor Muhammed Akanbi (SAN), the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University.

Mustapha has sympathized with the family, relation and friends of sadness over the demise of the University don.

The Informant247 earlier reported that the news of the passing of the legal luminary Akanbi was made public by his family on Sunday evening.

In a statement personally signed by Mallam Mustapha, he sent message of condolences to the students, the authority of Kwara State University and the well meaning people of Ilorin over the sudden loss.

“The death is shocking and painful, not just because of its suddenness but also because Kwara state has lost one of the builders and major contributor to the growth and development of the Kwara state educational sector.

“And Nigeria has lost an erudite scholar of international standing.

“May the Almighty Allah forgive the soul of the deceased and grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he prayed.
